Supporters Club Don't Earn Their Spurs!

UNITED'S Singapore Supporters Club were soundly beaten by Spurs last week in a Far East friendly game.

The Toon team, led by Singapore Mags supremo John Hirst, were 4-0 down at the break, though things picked up in the second half and after KM Gan (Keegan as he is known to his team-mates) scored for United, Spurs scored in the last few seconds to wrap the game up.

"Regardless of the result we had a good laugh, and once we get a few more games under our belts we'll have a rematch with them," said John.

"It was a disappointing result for us, but hopefully we will be celebrating when we play Spurs in the Premier League at St. James' in a couple of weeks.

"Plus, with Stephen Carr on his way, we've already had the last laugh anyway!"
